NEORICE introduces a climate-smart, low-emission organic rice cultivation model designed for smallholder farmers in the Mekong Delta. By integrating regenerative farming practices, digital tools, and carbon credit generation, NEORICE promotes food security, environmental sustainability, and economic resilience for rural farming communities.
Capabilities & Features
AHA Rice Cultivation Process: Optimizes inputs by reducing the need for seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and labor while also cutting emissions.
Rice-Azolla Intercropping: Enriches the soil with organic nitrogen, reduces methane emissions, and offers additional animal feed.
Biochar Application: Increases soil organic carbon and significantly lowers methane emissions from rice fields.
Professional Agriculture System (PAS): A low-cost IoT device ($100/unit) that provides continuous water level monitoring and daily field imagery�supporting precise irrigation and emission reduction.
No-Server-Cost Management App: Built using Google App Script and Google Drive, it enables daily farm and shop operations, real-time carbon credit calculations, and compliance tracking with international standards (e.g., USDA Organic).
Carbon Market Integration: Allows farmers to quantify and monetize their carbon reductions through various certified methodologies.
Progress to Date
Developed the Professional Agriculture System (PAS) as an affordable, field-deployable IoT solution for rice farmers.
Launched a cloudless farm management app for smallholders to manage operations and generate real-time carbon credit data at no ongoing server cost.
Successfully implemented a full-stack regenerative rice farming system combining organic practices, digital tools, and emission reduction technologies.
